My name is Kimmy G, ethnically, from the Middle East, originally born in Israel. But when people ask me where I am from, I never know how to answer this question. I am from everywhere yet no-where all at once. My soul has experienced the world from a multicultural perspective. I take pride in being a 'third-culture kid', because it enables me to connect with those who come from a completely different cultural background than my own. I have come to learn that where you come from has the power to shape who you are, but more importantly, who you are has the power to shape where you come from.

At the age of nineteen, I moved out of the house and decided to live by myself in the United Arab Emirates for one year. Living in Dubai has challenged every possible preconceived notion I previously had towards my own culture and ethnicity. Being Jewish in a Muslim dominant country, taught me the significance of understanding duality in perspective. That the reality we often perceive always has two sides to every story. Sometimes, a soul's journey here on Earth requires you to undergo adverse situations in order to question what truly defines who you are and the person you want to be.

Since 2017, I began writing a compilation of short stories that today serve as the foundation and purpose for my creative project of 'Artsoul'. A concept that is deeply routed in the philosophy of metaphysics; provoking the idea that the human experience here on earth comprises of both a physical and non-physical reality. Whereby, every individual has a ‘soul’. The souls of artists, often undergo heightened levels of emotions and self-awareness than most. Therefore, this collection of short stories aim to convey the valuable insights and life lessons that my soul has experienced throughout its journey of self-expression.
